2013 Power of the Purse Scheduled!
The Power of the Purse women's event has been scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2013, 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the Vintage Ballroom & Suites in Downtown Faribault. It's time to network with other women while helping raise funds for the United Way of Faribault by enjoying appetizers, wine, a silent auction of purses, jewelry, event tickets, gift certificates and other items.&nbs
Children registered for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program through the United Way of Faribault have started receiving their books in the mail. Calls are made to the United Way daily from people needing services to help them get by due to recent economic concerns. Because United Way does not offer direct support to individuals, callers can only be referred to various health and human service organizations in our area. A 24-hour United Way referral number that is easy to remember is 2-1-1 and works from any landline and answered day and night to handle emergency services.
